Basketball Recap: Ocean Springs Snaps 13-Game Streak of Losses at Home

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Martin, Ocean Springs was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the D'Iberville Warriors 37-35. The win was some much needed relief for the Greyhounds as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ocean Springs' victory ended a 13-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-4. As for D'Iberville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ocean Springs will venture away from home to challenge Biloxi at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Biloxi will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Ocean Springs surely won't give up without a fight. As for D'Iberville, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gulfport at 6:00 p.m. on December 20th. D'Iberville is facing Gulfport at the right time seeing as Gulfport is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
