Baseball Recap: North Stokes Makes It Six in a Row at Home

North Stokes won the last time they faced South Stokes and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Vikings walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Sauras. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Cash Dalton made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Dalton was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ryan Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Jackson Lester was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

North Stokes' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for South Stokes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, North Stokes and South Stokes will both be playing East Wilkes the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Sauras will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
