Basketball Game Preview: Navajo Pine Warriors vs. Rehoboth Christian Lynx

Navajo Pine hasn't had much luck against Rehoboth Christian recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Navajo Pine Warriors are taking a road trip to challenge the Rehoboth Christian Lynx at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Navajo Pine is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Northwest: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Navajo Pine blew Northwest out of the water with a 57-16 final score. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Warriors had established a 29 point advantage.

Navajo Pine's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mikayla Baker led the charge by going 6-for-10 on her way to 13 points and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylea Jumbo, who went 6-for-14 en route to 13 points.

Navajo Pine smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Rehoboth Christian strolled past Ramah with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 44-28.

Rehoboth Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-14 record this season. Navajo Pine's record now sits at 6-19.

Navajo Pine couldn't quite finish off Rehoboth Christian when the teams last played last Saturday and fell 33-30. Can Navajo Pine avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
