Soccer Game Preview: Saluda vs. Dutch Fork

The Saluda Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Saluda and Mid-Carolina, and Mid-Carolina kept the tradition alive. Saluda lost 5-2 to Mid-Carolina on Friday.

Luis Valdez and Jaaziel Rosales scored both of Saluda's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Meanwhile, Dutch Fork kept a clean sheet against Ben Lippen on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 4-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Silver Foxes.

Dutch Fork's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Saluda, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Saluda suffered a grim 7-2 defeat to Dutch Fork when the teams last played back in April of 2023. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Saluda was down 5-1.
