Perkiomen Valley beats Phoenixville for their third straight win

Recap: Perkiomen Valley Vikings vs. Phoenixville Phantoms

The Perkiomen Valley Vikings entered their tilt with the Phoenixville Phantoms with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Perkiomen Valley came out on top against Phoenixville by a score of 28-21 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Perkiomen Valley also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2015.

Xavier Nunez was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Perkiomen Valley also got a significant boost from Nathan Reedy, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 93 yards.

Phoenixville's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Tenbroeck, who picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Romance, who threw for 224 yards and two touchdowns.

Perkiomen Valley's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.8 points per game. As for Phoenixville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perkiomen Valley will stay at home for another week and welcome Quakertown at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Quakertown will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. As for Phoenixville, they will be playing at home against East at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games.
