Dixie proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by four) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the GREEN Upstate Owls 1-0. The win was nothing new for Dixie as they're now sitting on four straight.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Tyler Gambrell, who's now up to nine this season.

Dixie's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for GREEN Upstate, they moved to 10-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Dixie will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Strom Thurmond at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. Dixie's defense better be ready for this one: Strom Thurmond have averaged an impressive 5.4 goals per game this season. As for GREEN Upstate, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest on the 22nd.
