Clear Lake had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Forest City on Tuesday. The Lions blew past the Indians 13-3. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Clear Lake has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Forest City, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Lake will take on West Fork on Thursday. As for Forest City, they will challenge Bishop Garrigan on Thursday.
