Basketball Recap: Northgate Falls to Troup County in First Game of Season

Northgate kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 57-29 loss at the hands of the Troup County Tigers. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it seven in a row.

Despite the loss, Northgate still got an impressive performance from Jada Wells, who posted eight points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Aniya Flynn was another key player, putting up four points.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Northgate will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on LaGrange at 5:30 p.m. on the 24th. As for Troup County, they will head out to challenge Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
