After losing to Garden County the last time they met, Paxton decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Eagles 2-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Paxton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-21, 25-15.

Addison Holm paced Paxton's offense, picking up 12 kills. Holm got some help from Hadleigh Kramer and her 25 assists. Reece Glinn controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Despite the loss, Garden County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kenley Dehning had 19 digs.

Paxton's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Garden County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-2 record.

Paxton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Sandhills/Thedford on the 13th. As for Garden County, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Creek Valley on the 13th.
