After failing to score in their last contest, Woodside made sure to put some goals up on the board against Jefferson on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jefferson Grizzlies a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won six matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Jefferson with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mattheo Lacasia (2), Benjamin Lange (2), Jared Gutierrez, and Aiden Farmer.

Woodside's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7-1. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those five games. As for Jefferson, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Coincidentally, Woodside and Jefferson will both be playing San Mateo the next time they take the pitch. Woodside will head out to face San Mateo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Jefferson will host them at 4:30 p.m. on February 7th.
