Football Recap: Elgin Wildcats vs. Randle Lions
Elgin and Randle squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Elgin had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Randle Lions on the road and fell 79-0. The Wildcats were red-hot offensively headed into the matchup (they scored no less than 31 points in the three contests prior) but the Lions' defense proved too tough.
Tyler Skrabanek was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 143 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Cedrick McClintock also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
With the defeat, Elgin broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Randle, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Elgin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Randle has also already played their next game, a 28-14 win against Brenham on the 30th.
