Softball Recap: Earlville Wins Going Away Against Parkview Christian Academy

Earlville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Parkview Christian Academy Falcons a 16-0 shutout. That looming 16-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Raiders yet this season.

Earlville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Earlville will head out on the road to take on Alden-Hebron at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Parkview Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Aurora Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.2 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
