Softball Recap: Trinity Wolves vs. Etna Lions

Trinity lost to Etna on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wolves fell just short of the Lions by a score of 5-4. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jessica Brown put in work while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over 6.1 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, Trinity got a big performance out of Hallee Prather, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Prather has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Adriana Seele was another key player, going 1-for-5 with three stolen bases and one run.

Trinity's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Etna, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-12.
