After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bangs, Hamilton was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Goldthwaite Eagles a 5-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for Hamilton, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ryan Worbington made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only one hit while striking out 14 over 6.1 innings pitched. Worbington has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in six consecutive pitching appearances.
