Recap: Forgan Bulldogs vs. Balko Bison
This season hasn't been kind to the Forgan Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 11th match. They were outmatched by Balko on the road and fell 71-37. Forgan was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-10.
Emelie Trentham was her usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with six steals and five assists for Balko. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Trentham has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Estrella Martinez, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Forgan bumped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Balko, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.
Forgan will head out on the road to challenge Hooker at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Hooker presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Forgan in Oklahoma (Hooker is ranked 95th, while Forgan is ranked 472nd). As for Balko, they will take on Vici at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Vici has struggled recently with seven defeats in a row, while Balko will arrive with three straight wins.
