Freeburg posted their closest victory since May 6, 2024 on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Byron Tigers 7-5.

Max Biehl was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.

In other pitching news, Liam Scaiefe looked comfortable as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Jase Brentlinger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024.

Freeburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Byron, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
