Baseball Recap: Triton Hawks vs. Western Harnett Eagles

Triton gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Western Harnett Eagles. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.

Kason Brown spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on zero hits.

At the plate, Brayden Bates and Alan Hinson did most of the damage at the plate: Bates went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs, while Hinson scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Bates is becoming a predictor of Triton's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-8 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Sewell, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
