Leonel Guzman put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March of 2024 on Wednesday. He struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Thomasville is 3-1 when Guzman allows one or fewer hits, but 7-10 otherwise.

Coming up, Guzman and Thomasville will head out on the road to challenge East Wilkes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Guzman had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their contest back in April of 2024 10-0.
