Basketball Game Preview: Chapin Eagles vs. Dutch Fork Silver Foxes

Chapin hasn't had much luck against Dutch Fork recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chapin Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Chapin will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Irmo, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Chapin came out on top against Irmo by a score of 54-45 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Dutch Fork had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Gators 54-28. The Silver Foxes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 21 points or more this season.

Chapin's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-11. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Dutch Fork, their record is now 16-2.

Chapin took a serious blow against Dutch Fork in their previous meeting on January 9th, falling 69-26. Can Chapin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
