Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Addison Boram and Aayana Teasley Lead Walkersville to Victory

Walkersville won against Liberty on Tuesday with 66 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. The Walkersville Lions put the hurt on the Clear Spring Blazers with a sharp 66-42 victory. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matches by 23 points or more this season.

Walkersville was led to victory by Aayana Teasley and Addison Boram. Teasley went 7-for-12 to rack up 15 points along with six boards and four steals, while Boram went 7-for-16 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Boram is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in each of the last six games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ciara Simms, who posted six points and six steals.

Walkersville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive games.

Walkersville is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points over those games. As for Clear Spring, they dropped their record down to 6-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walkersville will take on South Carroll at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Clear Spring, they will square off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
