The Tuscaloosa Academy Knights will square off against the Vincent Yellow Jackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Tuscaloosa Academy is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Greene County, posting a 41-12 victory. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tuscaloosa Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mark Norris, who threw for 332 yards and three TDs while completing 76.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 52 yards on only six carries. Those 332 passing yards gave Norris a new career-high. Ty Johnson was another key rusher, rushing for 137 yards and three scores on only 15 carries.

Meanwhile, Vincent got the win against Childersburg on Friday by a conclusive 40-15. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Vincent's win came from a few key players Tuscaloosa Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Jayden Roberts, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and also picked up 50 receiving yards. Another player making a difference was Lane Mims, who threw for 149 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Vincent was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 214 rushing yards in four consecutive games.

Tuscaloosa Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Vincent, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.
