Recap: North Paulding Wolfpack vs. Brunswick Pirates
The North Paulding Wolfpack waltzed into their match Thursday with three straight wins but they left with four. They walked away with a 57-46 win over Brunswick. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but North Paulding was the better team in the second half.
Brunswick lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Shanyece Quick, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and three steals. Quick has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermiyah Ramsey, who scored 17 points.
North Paulding has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Brunswick, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
North Paulding is on the road again on Friday and play against Stephenson at 11:30 a.m. on December 22nd. Stephenson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 230th, while North Paulding is ranked 21st). Brunswick won't have much time to rest: their next game is against North Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on December 22nd. North Forsyth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Brunswick likes a good challenge.
