Recap: Eagle's View Warriors vs. Christ's Church Academy Eagles
The Eagle's View Warriors lost against the Christ's Church Academy Eagles back in September of 2020, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Eagle's View ended up on the wrong side of a rough 40-16 walloping at the hands of Christ's Church Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eagle's View in their matchups with Christ's Church Academy: they've now lost four in a row.
Leading Christ's Church Academy to victory were Patrick Setzer and Kyree Wilson. Setzer rushed for 142 yards while picking up 8.9 yards per carry, while Wilson rushed for 175 yards on only 13 carries.
Eagle's View's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-1 Oak Hall (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 66.7% over those games). As for Christ's Church Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for they, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle's View will take on Cornerstone Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Christ's Church Academy, they will play host again and welcome Zarephath Academy, where Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The pair might be coming in a bit winded given how much these teams ran in their prior games.
