Softball Recap: Bartow Yellow Jackets vs. Lake Gibson Braves
Bartow had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Lake Gibson Braves an 11-0 shutout on Tuesday. Bartow might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won 13 contests by six runs or more this season.
Kyndal Cornelius was incredible, going 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and a triple. McKenzie Gibson was another key contributor, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.
The victory (which was Bartow's sixth in a row) raised their record to 25-1. As for Lake Gibson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-16.
Bartow will challenge George Jenkins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bartow is looking to tack on another W to their ten-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Lake Gibson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
