Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Caliche's Ninth in Last Ten Outings

Caliche's tournament run continued when they took on Arickaree on Friday. The Caliche Buffaloes walked away with a 42-31 victory over the Arickaree Bison.

Caliche's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Hallie Lewis, who shot 75% from the field on her way to 16 points and five steals. What's more, Lewis also posted a 67% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ryann Svoboda, who posted nine points and seven boards.

Caliche is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. Arickaree is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-14.

Caliche wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 47-44 win against Otis on the 1st. As for Arickaree, they have also already played their next game, a 60-43 defeat against Prairie on the 1st.
