Football Game Preview: Auburn vs. Floyd County

Floyd County will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Auburn at 7:00 PM. Floyd County is expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.

Floyd County didn't have too much trouble with Patrick County last Friday as they won 27-7.

Meanwhile, everything went Auburn's way against Craig County as the squad secured a 49-0 win. Auburn was expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Their wins bumped Floyd County to 1-2 and Auburn to 1-1. In their victory, Auburn relied heavily on sophomore Payson Kelley, who rushed for 143 yards and 5 touchdowns; a key strategy for Floyd County will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
