Basketball Recap: Herington Comes Up Short

Herington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 71-25 defeat at the hands of the Ell-Saline Cardinals. If the Railroaders were looking for revenge after losing 73-19 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in December of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Herington still got an impressive performance from Connor Hight, who posted six points.

Herington's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coming up, Herington will be playing in front of their home fans against Centre at 7:00 p.m. on the 13th. As for Ell-Saline, they will head out to face off against Republic County on Friday.
