Glenvar extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-0. They blew past the Carroll County Cavaliers 44-19. Fans of the Highlanders have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

As for Carroll County, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-2. While losing is never fun, they can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Glenvar is ranked 77th).

Despite the loss, Carroll County still got an impressive performance from Jaydon Brown, who rushed for 194 yards and two TDs, and also caught one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Glenvar will venture away from home to square off against James River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carroll County, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Floyd County at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
