            Softball Preview: Enumclaw Hornets vs. Federal Way Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            The Enumclaw Hornets are taking a road trip to  take on the Federal Way Eagles  at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Federal Way took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Enumclaw, who comes in off a win.
Enumclaw is headed in fresh off scoring the most  runs they have   all season. Everything went their way against Jefferson on Thursday as Enumclaw made off with  a  21-0 victory. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.
 Alyssa Harris made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out 14 over 4.2 innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time she's  pitched this season. She was also big at the plate,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-4. What's more,  she posted three  RBI, the most she's  had since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Natalie Otero, who  scored three  runs while going 4-for-4. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  doubles (two).  Nadia Flaherty was another key player,  scoring three  runs while going 2-for-2.
 Enumclaw  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .771. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
 Meanwhile,  it was a Battle of the Birds when  Federal Way challenged Kentlake on Wednesday. Federal Way lost  19-7 to Kentlake. Eagles fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Falcons since  on Wednesday.
 Enumclaw's record now sits at 4-2. As for Federal Way, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
 Enumclaw skirted past Federal Way  14-13 in their previous meeting  back in April of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for Enumclaw since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
