Campolindo had lost four games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-13 on Tuesday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Mt. Diablo Red Devils 7-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-4 back in April.

Paige Williams made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out ten over 6.2 innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Peyton Tallarico was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lucy Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Campolindo kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
As for Mt. Diablo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. Their defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.
On Mt. Diablo's side, Dazzelynn Alon stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Ashley Cornejo was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Looking ahead, Campolindo will take on Berean Christian at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Eagles have now posted at least ten runs in their last nine matches. As for Mt. Diablo, they will challenge Concord at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bears have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season.
