Softball Recap: Northeastern Sets Scoring Season-High Against East Pennsboro

Northeastern was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the East Pennsboro Panthers, falling 15-4. On the bright side, the four- run effort marked the Bobcats' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Kaitlyn Fauth was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Alaina Dubbs also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Northeastern's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for East Pennsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northeastern will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Red Lion at 4:15 p.m. on the 28th. As for East Pennsboro, they will welcome Harrisburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
