Basketball Game Preview: Noblesville Millers vs. Westfield Shamrocks

Noblesville and Westfield are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Noblesville Millers will challenge the Westfield Shamrocks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Noblesville is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season.

Noblesville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Carmel by a score of 51-40. Given the Millers' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked fifth, while the Greyhounds are ranked 38th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Meredith Tippner, who went 8 of 16 on her way to 22 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Her evening made it 13 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was C.C. Quigley, who posted nine points in addition to eight boards and three steals.

Meanwhile, Westfield earned a 44-31 win over Ben Davis last Tuesday. The Shamrocks pushed the score to 35-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Giants cut but never quite recovered from.

Noblesville better keep an eye on Samantha Price. She was instrumental in Westfield's win, going 7 for 11 en route to 15 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. Audra Parker was another key player, putting up nine points.

Noblesville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.2 points per game. As for Westfield, their record now sits at 15-8.

Noblesville skirted past Westfield 53-51 in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Noblesville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
