Soccer Recap: Berwick vs. Wyoming Valley West
After flying high against Hazleton Area last Monday, Berwick came back down to earth. The Berwick Bulldogs came up short against the Wyoming Valley West Spartans on Thursday, falling 6-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Bulldogs were already down 5-0.
Berwick's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Wyoming Valley West, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.
Berwick will challenge Bloomsburg at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Bloomsburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. As for Wyoming Valley West, they and Lake-Lehman are set to duel on Saturday. Lake-Lehman knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Wyoming Valley West likes a good challenge.
