Basketball Recap: St. Agnes Academy Takes a Loss

St. Agnes Academy suffered their biggest loss since December 30, 2023 on Saturday. They came up short against the Nitro Wildcats, falling 48-26. The game marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Among those leading the charge was Karson Jones, who went 5 for 9 on her way to 14 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycee Sigmon, who posted five points.

St. Agnes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Nitro, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

St. Agnes Academy will take on Oceanside Collegiate Academy in a tournament on Monday. As for Nitro, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mars at 9:00 a.m. on Monday.
