Volleyball Recap: Braintree Comes Up Short

Braintree lost against Wellesley back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Wamps lost 3-0 to the Raiders.

Braintree was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Wellesley work for it, especially in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 27-25, 25-14.

Gabby Bennett paced Braintree's offense, picking up 11 kills. Bennett got some help from Zerena Chung and her 22 assists. Chung was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Braintree's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Wellesley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-3.

Braintree wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Notre Dame Academy on the 10th. As for Wellesley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Chelmsford on the 10th.
