There's no place like home for Eagle Ridge Academy, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  last Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  win over the Forge Christian Fury  on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Fury recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 Eagle Ridge Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23,  15-11.
 Makai Kartchner paced Eagle Ridge Academy's offense, picking up 13 kills. Kartchner got some help from  Cole Crawford and his 25 assists. Finally,  Elias Misri Perez kept Eagle Ridge Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
 Despite the  defeat, Forge Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Seth Davies  had 21  digs and two  assists. Those 21  digs set a new season-high mark for  Davies.  Dennis Blinov also deserves some recognition as  he  had his first  block of the season.
The  win  got Eagle Ridge Academy back to even at 5-5. As for Forge Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
 Eagle Ridge Academy has already played their next game,  a  3-2  victory against Windsor Charter Academy on the 3rd. As for Forge Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-0  defeat against Riverdale Ridge on the 2nd.
