Basketball Game Preview: St. Laurence Vikings vs. Payton College Prep Grizzlies

Having just played yesterday, the St. Laurence Vikings will jump right back in to play the Payton College Prep Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in St. Laurence's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

St. Laurence will bounce into Saturday's matchup after beating Fenwick, who they had gone 1-6 against in their seven prior meetings. The Vikings snuck past the Friars with a 60-54 victory on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Vikings' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Friars are ranked 318th).

Meanwhile, Payton College Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Amundsen on Thursday and fell 51-48.

Payton College Prep dropped their record down to 3-4 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for St. Laurence, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
