Basketball Game Preview: Lisbon Lions vs. Prince of Peace Prep Irish

Lisbon and Prince of Peace Prep are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Lisbon Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Prince of Peace Prep Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lisbon challenged Tipton on Saturday. Lisbon enjoyed a cozy 75-58 win over Tipton.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Prince of Peace Prep). They took down East Buchanan 89-73 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Irish who have now won four games in a row.

Lisbon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Prince of Peace Prep, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything went Lisbon's way against Prince of Peace Prep when the teams last played back in January, as Lisbon made off with an 80-56 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lisbon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
