Flat Rock waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They never let the Riverview Pirates get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on David Riddle, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one triple, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Baron, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Flat Rock kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.

Flat Rock's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Riverview, their loss dropped their record down to 6-19.
