Basketball Recap: San Benito Greyhounds vs. Los Fresnos Falcons
San Benito lost against Los Fresnos back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The San Benito Greyhounds were beaten by the Los Fresnos Falcons 91-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Greyhounds have suffered against the Falcons since January 15, 2021.
It was another big night for Gio Galvan, who almost dropped a triple-double on 30 points, ten boards, and nine assists for Los Fresnos. Those 30 points gave Galvan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Andrew Munoz, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points.
San Benito is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12. As for Los Fresnos, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.
