Volleyball Recap: Benjamin Logan Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Riverside on Saturday, Benjamin Logan came back down to earth. The Raiders fell just short of the North Union Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Benjamin Logan started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 24-26, 25-19, 25-21, 15-13.

Summer Cline paced Benjamin Logan's offense, picking up 17 kills. Cline got some help from Kylie Harner and her 43 assists. Marlee Butcher controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Leading North Union to victory were Kennedy Harrah and Glory Blevins. Harrah hit 50% for five kills and 28 digs and eight aces, while Blevins had 17 digs, 12 kills, and three aces. That's the most kills Blevins has posted since back in September.

Benjamin Logan has been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season. As for North Union, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Benjamin Logan will be playing at home against Shawnee at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Union, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Northwestern on the 8th.
