Baseball Recap: Bradley Central Beats Grundy County for Their Fourth Straight Win

Bradley Central came tearing into Friday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Grundy County Yellowjackets with a sharp 19-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Andrew Carroll made a big impact no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Carroll was even better at the plate, scoring four runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Jackson Humble and Nathan Thompson did most of the damage at the plate: Humble went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs, while Thompson scored three runs while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Spane Bristol, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.
