Volleyball Recap: Risco Falls to Portageville in First Game of Season

Risco unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Portageville Bulldogs on Friday, falling 3-0. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Risco was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-22, 25-11.

Portageville has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Risco will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hayti at 5:00 p.m. on September 16. As for Portageville, they will venture away from home to square off against St. Vincent at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
