Hamshire-Fannett owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They came out on top against the Shepherd Pirates by a score of 4-0. The Longhorns haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Not much got past Carter Romero, who gave up just a hit and racked up eight Ks to keep Shepherd off the board. Romero has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Hamshire-Fannett saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Grammer, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs Grammer has posted since back in March.

Hamshire-Fannett's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Shepherd, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Hamshire-Fannett and Shepherd will both be playing Hargrave the next time they take the field. The Pirates will host the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Longhorns will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
