Softball Game Preview: Ida Bluestreaks vs. Dundee Vikings

Ida has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Dundee has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Bluestreaks will host the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Ida is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Airport on Saturday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jets.

Ida saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adisyn Swiderski, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Dundee couldn't beat Carlson on Saturday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Vikings lost 23-12 to the Marauders.

Kiernan Brown stepped up to lead a balanced group of hitters: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Ella Rath was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Ida's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Dundee, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-6.
