Maranatha Christian waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Point Loma Pointers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Maranatha Christian took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-6, 25-15, 25-7.

Carter 'CJ' Hays paced Maranatha Christian's offense, picking up 14 kills. Hays got some help from Jackson Ostrowski and his 24 assists. Zachary Nguyen controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Maranatha Christian pushed their record up to 22-4 with the victory, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Point Loma, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Maranatha Christian will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Escondido Charter at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for Point Loma, they will challenge Lincoln at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
