Football Game Preview: Eastlake Titans vs. Sweetwater Red Devils + How To Watch

The Eastlake Titans will square off against the Sweetwater Red Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sweetwater took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Eastlake, who comes in off a win.

Eastlake is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took down Vista 28-14 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Titans as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

A big part of Eastlake's victory came down to the chemistry between Tyler Balko and his top target Sean Stone. Balko threw for 93 yards and one touchdown while Stone picked up 88 receiving yards and one score. That's the most passing yards Balko has posted since back in November of 2024.

Eastlake's run defense was locked in: Vista could only muster 2.1 yards per carry. The team can thank David Branco for the heroic effort on defense: he. Eastlake didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.3.

Meanwhile, Sweetwater didn't have quite enough to beat Otay Ranch on Friday and fell 19-16. The defeat continues a trend for the Red Devils in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost four in a row.

Although Sweetwater took the loss, they still got scores from Zane Willis and Abdulkhadir Osman.

Sweetwater now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Eastlake, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Eastlake didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Sweetwater when the teams last played back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 21-17 victory.
