Basketball Game Preview: Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs vs. Carrboro Jaguars

Durham School of the Arts is 2-8 against Carrboro since January of 2020 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Durham School of the Arts Bulldogs will head out to take on the Carrboro Jaguars at 8:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Durham School of the Arts will face Carrboro after dropping another heartbreaker against Louisburg on Wednesday, which marked the second time in a row the team's come within 3.1 of beating them. Durham School of the Arts took a 42-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Louisburg.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tony McDonald, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Craig Griffin, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Carrboro ended up a good deal behind South Granville on Wednesday and lost 75-60. The loss continues a trend for the Jaguars in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now lost six in a row.

Carrboro's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Durham School of the Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.

Durham School of the Arts lost to Carrboro on the road by a decisive 82-63 margin when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Durham School of the Arts avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
