Softball Game Preview: Oakville Acorns vs. Wishkah Valley Loggers

Oakville is 0-10 against Wishkah Valley since April of 2018 but things could change on Wednesday. The Acorns will be playing at home against the Loggers at 4:00 p.m. Oakville has given up an average of 24.6 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Oakville couldn't beat Naselle on Monday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Acorns came up short against the Comets, falling 23-8.

Meanwhile, Wishkah Valley entered their tilt with Taholah on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Chitwhins get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Those one runs were actually the fewest the Loggers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Wishkah Valley pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Oakville, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8-1.
