Baseball Recap: John Marshall Takes a Loss

John Marshall lost against Mayo back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rockets fell 10-6 to the Spartans. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mason Konz made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That home run was his first of the season.

John Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Mayo, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. John Marshall will take on Mankato West at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scarlets will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight. As for Mayo, they will face off against Mankato East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
